Ever get the “pick me” feeling

Ever get the “pick me” feeling. Like back in school yard days waiting to be picked for a team. Seeing person after person called. Last one in line. Wanting to be that person someone looks at and say you. I pick you first

  1. I usually was picked but never first. In fact most of my life could be labeled “average”. Isn’t it awesome though that in a world were we are picked last somewhere in between or not at all, God says “I pick you” and “you are my favorite” and means it. We were always first and most important to Him and He loves all of us the same!

  3. When I’m remembering too much “ancient history” of rejection, I get a little nudge in my thought life to remind me that God picked me for His own, and He didn’t wait until the last to do it. As one who has known both rejection and acceptance, I recommend to your heart Isaiah 61.1-3. “You [O Lord] have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” –Psalm 30.11-12. Don’t linger long in the “ancient” memories of rejection. It’s not good for your heart, dear one. ❤
